Appreciate the follow! It is both intriguing and encouraging to to read about how your book came to be in just 30 days. Awesome.

Oh, it took more than 30 days- more like 3 years, but the motivation to do the work came from the challenge to write for 30 days straight. Awesome experience!

I love the picture on your novel.
Looks like blood of Jesus coming out of His hands, but also thread (which connects you through your passion for yarn …). I also note the play on words … “Yarn” as in thread and you write “yarns”.
And lastly I believe that God weaves us and our story into a magnificent tapestry, that we cannot always see, but occasionally get to glimpse in His majesty.
Keep writing and many blessings

Third? It’s just the beginning! 😛 Seriously, though, I may hire or barter for editing services next time…so time consuming! Thanks for the compliment about the banner!! I did have a great illustrator, can’t take all the credit…

Thank you for stopping by my blog. AND, congrats on being a NaNoWriMo winner!!!! Finally, I am interested in knowing what “The Red String” is about seeing as we (Jewish) have a cabalistic practice that involves a red string. I look forward to reading more. 🙂

Yes, I learned a bit about that in my research…this “red string” is adapted from Asian mythology, actually…it’s interesting to see all the cultural connections. Thank you for following my blog also!

Congrats on those good reviews. How was the whole self publish experience for you? I am considering it.

It’s been good! I put hardly any money into it, and since it’s my first novel, I have kept my expectations low. They have been exceeded and I have found a true joy in the writing process. The Create Space site is very well set up and the paperback books look fabulous- good quality paper, etc… I was blessed to have my brother, who is a graphic artist, design the cover, but if you publish an e-book, that can be a much simpler, DIY project. I highly recommend it. The days of waiting to be recognized are over. Work your but off and do your best, then click PUBLISH. All the blessings are in the actual writing anyway. Best wishes!

I’m curious…do you have any advice for author’s looking to get a novel published for the first time?
LikeLiked by 1 person
My advice is to self publish, especially if it’s your first endeavor. I used Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing for the ebook versions and Createspace for the print. I had a lot of help with beta-reading, editing, formatting and cover design, for now all volunteer, because I am being conservative and realistic. My sales are pretty low, but I am slowly growing a fan base. The more books you publish and the more often, the better your sales. I recommend novellas, though I didn’t find this out until I had already started a YA trilogy. Oops. Thanks for asking questions! And best wishes to you.

Thank you! I’ll definitely keep this in mind! Doing a lot of editing on several things right now but once I’ve made up my mind what I want to get published I’ll probably do that haha 🙂
